Yards Brawler Bottle 4.2% ABV
When cracking up this ale one can instantly pick up the aroma and ale brewed beer. It is one sweet malty smell. Took a sip and had a heavy ale taste but it was smooth. Malt taste comes from the brewing process when barley helps ferment the beer. A beer enthusiast should be able to pick up the hint of caramel in the beer, which adds to the sweetness of the beer. This ale is a Pugilist style ale, which is a mild ale that focuses on bringing the malt as a prime flavor in the beer. Yards Brawler has a brownish red tint to the beer. Definitely shows that this beer belongs in the Ale family of beers. Lets say that if you are not a fan of malt tasting beers than when drinking this beer you might want to have that in mind.
Brawler has been made by a local Philadelphia Brewery called Yards Brewing Company. Yards Brawler Ale is one of their most popular beers in my opinion. This beer could be used to cut spice out out of some dishes because of how sweet and smooth the ale is. In addition Brawler can also be enjoyed with friends during a look day because of the lower ABV (alcohol by volume). I would recommend this beer for anyone that likes spicy dishes and that likes a sweeter tasting beer because of the caramel hint in the beer.
Brownish Red Tint to Brawler
I like Ales usually depending on if they are sweet or not, but this beer was a little too sweet for my taste buds. The malty character of the beer threw my taste buds for a spin. Too much malt in a beer can turn any beer fan against that beer because of the sweet taste. I like this beer, but this would not be a beer I would drink all day. I could only have one or two beers of Yards Brawler before I had to switch to another beer or else I would be able to enjoy the other beers. If I had to rate this beer out of 100, I would give Yards Brawler a 79 because the beer is drinkable but not to crazy about the malt focus in the beer.
